TRAINING FOR
NONPROFIT BOARDS We offer excellent, thorough training for Nonprofit Boards in both
governance
and fundraising.
Philanthropy Solutions, LLC. seeks to assist its nonprofit clients by providing
consistent, in-depth training for Boards wishing to grow and develop their
governance and their fundraising abilities.
1. Nonprofit Board members sometimes do not have an accurate perception
about the process of governing a nonprofit organization effectively. Sometimes
they have no prior experience in sitting on a nonprofit Board. The end result
is that these Board members may experience some confusion and frustration
about their roles and responsibilities.
2. Board members have not yet
recognized or accepted their role in securing financial resources to support
the mission of the organization. The job descriptions written for the Board may
not have been precise on this point.
"Mr. Fike
at Philtnathropy Solutions however, was able to go beyond this to meet
our unique needs as a nonprofit agency serving urban Native Americans.
He worked with us to craft an effective case statement focusing on client
needs and developing a message that conveys our strong commitment to
our people and the community.
As a Board member it forced me to consider my own values, and our
purpose all within a context of strengthening our organization. I appreciate
how he looks at the intersection of governance and sustainability, a crossroad
that all nonprofits face.
We have found Philanthropy Solutions to be a professional and responsive company."

3. There are a variety of reasons why some nonprofit Boards
are not developed well. The organization, and, therefore, its Board, may be
in transition from one stage to another. The Board may have been formed for
one reason, but now needs to perform different tasks. Or there may be no established
procedure for developing the Board in an intentional way over time.
4. Philanthropy Solutions, LLC. provides training to nonprofit
Boards in how to undertake a capital campaign. In the course of this training
we deal with how the nonprofit Board can effectively use the change process
of a capital campaign to enhance Board development
When you invite Philanthropy Solutions,
LLC. to train your Board, you are providing them with the best and most effective
training they could get anywhere. The Board members we train tend to be
happier, more productive governors and more effective fund raisers.
